It's New Year's Eve, but that's not so important to me. Today is a great day because... I got mail from my dear friend Freya!!
She lives all the way across the globe (in the UK) so I'm glad it got here before the new year. I'm really happy about it~~ I WILL be using what she got me religiously. (^^)
The haul...
First: an I <3 my Honmei shirt she got printed, designed by herself. Putting that graphic design degree she's got to use I see. Unfortunately it's true...I do <3 my honmei Uyuni...
I showered put it on immediately because I hadn't gotten ready today yet lol
She made me a bracelet that says "Uyuni" too!!! You can't see in this photo, but it's blue and black starting juuust where it wraps around my wrist lol.
Love it.
And a toploader just for me!! My camera is shit with details apparently but there are many. It's super duper cute and very blue. It came with a printed photo but I replaced it with a real cheki Polaroid *^^*
He will stay by my side until I drop dead(^^)
She also gave me a Christmas card (super cute) and a bunch of card sleeves I can use for cheki (super generous). Thank you dear my Freya!!! I will have to mail you back sometime.
I'm probably going to spend the rest of my New Year's Eve laying around and doing nothing but the swag is worth it.
2024.12.27 thrift haul
I went thrifting today. I just went out to get some fresh air and didn't expect to get much but it turns out that luck was on my side today!! (^^)
If I don't leave my house for too long I just get depressed.....and we can't have that lol.
There's a few op shops within walking distance of my house and two good ones. I went to the two good ones. I tried to go to both on Christmas Eve but only one was open and nothing really caught my eye...
I went to the one that was closer first. I didn't expect to get much because I already visited it three days ago. but I got a cute giraffe friend to hang off any bag of my choice!
I don't know what to name it...>_<...
It ran me a total of $2. Awesome!
The older guy at the counter kept calling me mate hehe...he even called me handsome. I don't think so but it's cool that some dude with greying hair does lol (*^_^*)
Next was the other store. it's only like... down the street from the other one, so not much of a walk at all. Convenient!
There was a mirror inside so I took the opportunity to get a selfie. (Not with my proper camera, sorry~) I dressed up all cute for today just to get my mood up. I scored some clear files for $4 which I won't put up a picture for because it's boring. What I WILL share is the binder I bought the clear files for...it has Marvin the Martian on it! SO CUTE!
He's maybe my favourite Looney Tunes character.
He's the best. And I finally have a place to store my loose A4 art and stuff which is awesome...but I might buy a different binder and use him for something else? like cheki or actual documents... can't pick (>_>)
that's something for future me to decide. what's important now is that he only cost me $1. Rare price when thrifting for ANYTHING these days...!
I also got probably my favourite pick up from today: a clown doll. He was in the original packaging (a plastic cylinder with music notes on it and a "Try Me!" sticker on the back with a hole) for only $8.50. He works really wonderfully. He's been added to the collection~
I'm so so so so obsessed. More of this please!.
All of this ran me 2 + 4 + 1 + 8.5 = $15.50!! THAT'S AWESOME!!
