My newest tattoo

I'd been debating it for a while, but... today I got a new tattoo! Right on my inner wrist, which was really the only spot it could go. It's pretty special to me and I'm very happy with it.

I/O on my wrist, which is a bit red from irritation — Done in under an hour for the shop minimum... woo!

If you can read you'll know it says I/O, short for Input/Output. I/O is the communication between a computer and anything in the outside world... to be able to take in some kind of information, process it internally and output another kind of information... to speak with a keyboard and speakers, to communicate with a monitor to display text and images, to move a motor via software... all of this has never not been fascinating to me depsite how mundane it may be in our everyday life.

I identify strongly with machines and always have. I Am Program by the band Metronome's lyrics state It's not in my program, so I can't understand it... that's me! I can't easily process information I have no prior connections with, or even certain things that fall outside of my usual patterns. I am a computer that takes an input and creates an output, some sort of P-zombie.

Also, Shinjuku Gewalt have a release called I/O, and I actually ripped the exact font from it for this tattoo. Love it.
