The cyclone already passed?!...

So...the cyclone hit last night and into this morning, apparently.
Lots of destruction on the news 
but I didn't experience a thing except for a two-second power outage right before I went to sleep, despite right being in the line of fire!!! I actually checked the BOM website the moment I woke up, and it labelled Albert (yes, that's its name) as an EX-tropical cyclone. Huh!?
All that preparation and anxiety...for nothing! Just like that! No crazy winds blowing my neighbours' roofs off, no extremely loud rain (I didn't even hear anything), nothing! That was so underwhelming!
I went out for a walk today, but nothing was open still... thanks to, you guessed it, the cyclone. Which has already passed by now.

Nice cool winds coming off the coast though. I'm going to guess that's also Albert's fault. Thanks for bringing a nice start to autumn, I guess!?!? NO thanks for causing all of that though.
The only thing open was the gas station. The door had a pile of sandbags heaped in front of it so that you have to step over it 
it looked funny. but then I tripped on my way out...so embarrassing but at least I caught myself before I went splat on the concrete and broke my glasses or something.
I decided to make an icon for this blog BTW~~ just for fun. I haven't flexed those muscles for a while... not since I stopped using Dreamwidth, but I missed making icons. maybe I should bring some of my old ones back...?
Well, I'm honestly glad there wasn't much hassle even if all the setup and tweaking out from my family was annoying!
