Hiromu Toda
Hiromu Toda is one half of the duo Shinjuku Gewalt and an amazing composer. He's very shy but still really cool and he's one of the bandmen I admire and relate to most. Furthermore, I had a gakuran laying around thanks to some kigging project that never turned out well.
It was inevitable. I had to become that little emo boy!

Gold Coast Supanova 2025
...here's how things went. After Kaicon I realised I had one month to prepare a new cosplay for Goldnova, and somehow this one felt obvious to me. I thought, Toda! I'll have to cos Toda! In all his socially awkward glory! And so I did. But I had it in my head: I've got to cos him as a rabbit!
This came about because for years I've been drawing him as a rabbit. It made sense: give that man rabbit ears. And I did, but it was too hot on the day LOL, so I spent a lot of it without the ears on...
I plan on repainting the helmet to not say "uasgi" in the future.
I really liked this! A shame about the rabbit thing though LOL. I had an amazing time with all of my friends at the con and I got good use out of my Instax camera! I usually get too scared to use the film but it was the perfect excuse.
I realise that I did the text too high up on the helmet. I guess that's the result of thinking from the perspective of someone looking from far above (as I was positioned painting the thing) rather than someone looking head-on. I'm short but not short enough for doing that to make sense... ha ha.
As a bonus: try me riding a scooter which we found in the bushes.

I woke up before sunrise today feeling awful and sluggish. As I had to go to college, I wanted to claw my eyes out. Things feel slow and boring lately.
What to wear? I don't know. My cosplay from last month, I guess. That will do me. So I spent over twelve hours straight in shironuri. Thank God that's the one makeup supply I actually bothered to spend on.
I got lots of stares today lol... mostly while I was loitering in the outdoor mall. Nobody cares at my college.
My two best photos from today kind of look the same lol oh well. If I had a friend with me I'd be able to get full-body shots and stuff, but asking strangers is a death sentence. Is there anyone in the greater Brisbane area who likes Visual Kei and supports cosplaying bandmen? I'm having trouble finding that first thing, let alone the latter, but I'm going to a Jfashion swap meet on the weekend so maybe that'll be my saving grace.
